Sixteen Corcoran Agents And Sales Teams Recognized

New York City – The Corcoran Group continues to be a leading force in U.S. residential real estate sales with 16 top Corcoran sales teams and agents prominently ranked in the “The Real Estate Top 400” – the national ranking of 2009’s top-producing agents and sales teams generated by The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends.

Corcoran has the highest combined number of agents and sales teams ranked by sales volume of any single brokerage firm in “The Real Estate Top 400.”

Among the 100 top-performing sales teams of 2009, Corcoran was led by power broker Carrie Chiang and her team which ranked seventh in the nation. Four additional top-ranking Corcoran sales teams also recognized include The Robby Browne Team, The Deanna Kory Team, The Meris and Kenny Blumstein Team and Sharon Baum’s SOLD 1 team, all based in Manhattan. These five top-producing Corcoran sales teams had a combined 2009 sales volume of almost $600 million.

Eleven top-performing Corcoran sales agents ranked among the 100 top-selling individuals by sales volume in 2009. Susan Breitenbach of Corcoran’s East End division ranked sixth in the nation and was followed by leading agents from Corcoran’s New York, East End and South Florida markets, including Paulette Koch, Barrie Mandel, Jim Brawders, Lauren Muss, Gary De Persia, Julie Pham, Deborah Grubman, Deborah Rieders, Maria Pashby and Candace Friis. The 11 top-performing Corcoran agents had a collective 2009 sales volume of more than $733 million.

The results for “The Real Estate Top 400,” now in its fifth year, were released on August 6, on TheWallStreetJournal.com. This year’s winners were chosen from real estate brokerages, associations of local, state and national realtors and multiple-listing service operators for the period covering 2009.
