Private Equity Boss Sells Gulf Stream Estate for $14.25 M
British millionaire Peter Lampl sold his Gulf Stream estate for a discounted $14.25 million, property records show.

Lampl, a philanthropist and founder of the Sutton Company, a private equity firm in New York City, London and Munich, sold the nearly 2-acre estate at 3545 North Ocean Boulevard to Gulf Stream Ocean Properties FL LLC. The buyer lists a San Francisco address.

Lampl put the 14,000-square-foot, six-bedroom mansion on the market about a year ago for nearly $21 million, and reduced the asking price to $14.95 million in March, according to Realtor.com. The property sold at a 32 percent discount off the original ask.

Nick Malinosky and Randy Ely of Douglas Elliman represented the seller, while Candace Friis of the Corcoran Group brought the buyer.

Records show Lampl’s Sutton Company paid $5.15 million for the waterfront estate in 1997. A notice of commencement filed in 1999 lists Lampl as the true owner. Gregory Young signed the deed transfer of ownership on behalf of Sutton.
